Chairman
Shepherd Shonhiwa
Over the past four decades Shepherd held CEO, non-executive and Executive director positions in both private and public listed organisations engaged in oil and gas, print media, FMCG, manufacturing, motor, retail/wholesaling and management services in more than 10 countries around Africa.
As a Chartered Director, Shepherd is an ardent advocate for best practice in corporate governance and leadership. He currently runs a boutique consultancy with focus on corporate governance, executive leadership enhancement, business optimization, strategy and board effectiveness. He is currently Independent non-executive chairman of Nedbank Zimbabwe Limited, Independent non-executive chairman of Lidwala Consulting Engineers and Independent non-executive Director of National Tyre Services Zimbabwe and Chairman of Reatile Gas Zimbabwe Ltd.
In pursuit of his passion to advance the quality of leadership on the African continent he authored books on Cross-cultural leadership and Service Excellence.

Modise Mzimba
Modise joined Oppenheimer Partners, a global investment company based in South Africa in 2016. She is an Investment Director and has valuable experience in business investment analysis, transaction execution, post investment value management and disposals of investment companies. Her career has included being part of an investment team at Kagiso Tiso Holdings. She also spent 3 years at the Private Equity division of Actis, based in the UK. Prevousley Modise spent 5 years in the corporate finance division at Deutsche Bank.
In the investments sector, she has been involved in portfolio management, new deal originations and served on the board of Alexander Forbes listed in Johannesburg, including its Audit, Remuneration, Social, Ethics and Transformation committees.
Modise is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a BCom in Accounting and Economics as well as a PGDA from UCT. She completed her articles with Deloitte and was then seconded as senior auditor to New York.

Rutenhuro (Rute) James Moyo
Rute Moyo is an influential business with deep ties and expertise across several industries in Southern Africa. He began his career as a graduate trainee at Anglo American Corporation in Zimbabwe, sitting in management development roles at several companies, including RAL Merchant Bank, Zimbabwe Alloys, and Hippo Valley. He rose through the ranks at several companies, including becoming a Director of Strategy and Business Development at the Coca-Cola Company, and founded the FMCG division of Shanduka Group, SA, where he was specifically responsible for driving the acquisition and management of best performing of TCCC’s four bottling groups in SA. He was also responsible for identifying, modelling, negotiating and purchasing McDonald’s South Africa property & operations - establishing the first black-controlled and 2nd largest Master Franchise arrangement worldwide. After selling off Shanduka Group interest, he returned to Zimbabwe to set up Remoggo PCC to prospect for regional private equity opportunities. He has held several directorships, including Remoggo (Mauritius) PCC, Retse Outsourcing Ltd, IncuBev Ltd and Incubev SA Partners, FedEx Zimbabwe (Supaswift Zimbabwe and Cheetah Express), FBC Holdings Ltd. He holds a Bsc and Masters degree, as well as post-graduate qualifications in Business & Finance.

Fungai Shonhiwa
Fungai is a highly experienced corporate development advisor with a diverse professional background spanning over several years. Currently, he serves as a Corporate Development Advisor at Vayiseka Inc., In this capacity, he provides strategic and corporate finance consulting services to medium-sized regional enterprises, offering valuable insights and guidance to drive their growth and success. Prior to his current role, Fungai held key positions at JPMorgan Chase & Co., a leading global financial institution. As an Executive Director in Corporate Strategy based in the Greater New York City Area, he played a crucial role in shaping and executing the organization's strategic initiatives. Before his tenure in corporate strategy, Fungai served as a Vice President in the UK Financial Institutions Group at JPMorgan Chase & Co. His responsibilities in this role involved working closely with financial institutions in the United Kingdom, providing strategic guidance and support. Fungai holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Harvard Business School, where he pursued a comprehensive program in Business Administration and Management, solidifying his understanding of various business disciplines. Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor of Business Science degree with Honors in Finance at the University of Cape Town in 2004.

Nana Serwah Kankam
Nana is an experienced operator and advisor with a multifaceted, global background. She currently is the Managing Principal of ANP Africa, a boutique firm that works with capital intensive, high growth and highly regulated African companies, helping management teams with strategic and operational concerns.
Prior to ANP Africa, she worked as both an operator and a consultant. As an operator, she most recently led the Business Operations and Strategy team at Fandom, a scaled (300mm+ monthly unique visitors) consumer internet platform with user generated content, Ecommerce, and DTC gaming products. In that role, she worked closely with C-level executives to drive long-term strategy, optimize operations and create board of directors-facing narratives and communications. She also ensured extended leadership was aligned and executing strategic and company culture initiatives. She also has extensive experience as a consultant, working with both multinational firms with global interests, as well as domestic companies across North America, Europe, Subsaharan Africa and APAC with their growth, International expansion, and other strategic initiatives.
She sits on the advisory council of the Africa Soft Power Project, and has previously served on the board of the Harvard Business School Alumni Association of Nigeria, the Gye Nyame Empowerment Project, and Ghana-based fashion brand Christie Brown.
Nana holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School.

Ranga Chinongoza
Ranga Chinongoza is a seasoned strategic business advisor with over 17 years of experience serving both private and public companies. With a proven track record, Ranga excels in analyzing business processes, navigating complex challenges, and cultivating strong relationships with C-suite and executive management teams. His expertise lies in driving large-scale business and IT transformations, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering innovative solutions. In his most recent role as Managing Director in Private Equity at EY, Ranga holds a pivotal position providing invaluable advisory services to prominent private equity firms across the entire deal lifecycle. His responsibilities encompass strategic guidance and insights, enabling clients to make informed decisions and maximize their investment opportunities. Beyond his professional endeavors, Ranga co-sponsors EY's corporate responsibility program in the Bay Area. In this capacity, he oversees community engagement and funding efforts for the EY San Francisco Office. Through his dedication and leadership, Ranga contributes to driving positive change and making a meaningful difference within the local community

Marcelia Freeman
With nearly two decades of experience in financial services, in 2020, Ms. Freeman joined Clearlake Capital Group, a Santa Monica-based firm investing in technology, industrials, and consumer across private equity, special situations, and credit. She raises capital from institutional investors globally.
Ms. Freeman was previously a Senior Vice President at EIG Global Energy Partners, where she was responsible for managing investor relationships and products globally across the platform. Prior to EIG, she was a Director at Invesco, where she was responsible for developing products and marketing funds including venture capital, private equity, and distressed strategies for Invesco Private Capital and WL Ross. Ms. Freeman began her career at the JPMorgan Private Bank and was also an Associate in the Office of the Chairman at JPMorgan Chase.
Ms. Freeman serves on the Boards of Directors the National Association of Securities Professionals and of the Florida A&M University Foundation, where she serves as Chair of the Investment Committee. She is also a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Ms. Freeman is an active stakeholder within the start-up ecosystem as an investor, advisor, and board member.
Ms. Freeman received an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and graduated with honors from Florida A&M University with a B.A. in Finance.
